DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
This project is about the maintenance, evolution and extension of the Airspace Data Management System of the Client, also called the Environment (ENV) System.
The ENV system is based on an N-tier architecture: the server is developed in C++, the middle layer supports a Corba architecture and the client is developed in Java.

This job is about maintaining and evolving the business and technical layers of the ENV application. The successful candidate will be required to resolve problems discovered in ENV instances in Operations or under test; design (and document),
implement, and unit test system requirements for future releases.

For that purpose, Client wants to hire a software engineer with proven experience in Object Oriented design and development and C++ programming. The main tasks of this assignment are in the software development for the
business layer and it is therefore an essential requirement that the candidate will show interest for the domain aspects of the ENV system (Airspace Management). Experience with Corba architecture and IDL, communication with a graphical user interface is considered as being an advantage but is not mandatory.

The project:
· Design of Client applications, with special care for availability, maintainability, performance and reliability;
· Maintenance and implementation of enhancements ofClientapplication.
DESCRIPTION OF TASK RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in the support, maintenance, evolution of the business layers of the ENV application. As a second priority, the candidate may be involved in the development of the technical layers of the application.
Design and implement Unit and System tests and Regression tests.
Produce technical documentation with special emphasis on the production of a Software Design document.
Third level on-call support.

SPECIFIC TASKS (e.g. deliverables, milestones)
The deliverables shall be: design documents, source files, documentation, test cases.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Essential : University Level
Desirable : Degree in Software Engineering
Languages : Ability to read, write and speak English is mandatory.
